One year old!

On Thanksgiving, we also got to celebrate Whitaker's first birthday, something that I'm very thankful for! We had some cake at the big Thanksgiving celebration, then drove that afternoon to Memphis for the rest of the weekend. We stayed at my grandmother's house with Grandmother, Aunt Jamie, Uncle Jon, Aunt Kim, JJ, and Rose. My parents stayed across the street.

On Friday night, we pulled out the leftover cake (it was a big one!) and gave Whit another piece to enjoy. He loved it.

After cake, Whit opened (i.e. Alex opened) birthday gifts. Then the kids got to open early Christmas presents. Finally, after Jubilee and Whit were down, the adults had a pirate Christmas gift exchange. A full evening of present opening!

Whit was clearly astonished by so many balls to play with!
